Karina Newman has been teaching Spanish in Gainesville, Florida for 11 years. She holds a Master's degree in Education with a focus in Spanish Language and Culture for Educators from James Madison University and Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. She is originally from Venezuela, where she earned her degree in architecture and worked as an architect for ten years. In 2005, after moving to the United States she found a new passion in her life: education. She taught Spanish at the middle school level for six and a half years, during which time she founded La Escuela Spanish Learning Center, where she has been teaching Spanish to children and adults for eleven years.
